Event Description
The IOA's 2023 Winter Seminar will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the Ritz Charles, 12156 N. Meridian Street, Carmel, Indiana. This optometric continuing education event offers seven hours of in-person IOB and Legend Drug CE credit.

The Nuances of Normal Tension Glaucoma

The most important risk factor for glaucoma is elevated intraocular pressure, however, the pressure theory cannot sufficiently explain how normal tension glaucoma causes vision loss. This course will discuss all aspects of normal tension glaucoma including the pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment. 1 Hour IOB and Legend Drug

Innovations in Glaucoma: Next Generation Technology, Medications, and Delivery

Advances in glaucoma diagnostics and management continue to evolve at a rapid pace. In order to continue to care for glaucoma patients at a high level, it is imperative that innovation continues in the glaucoma space. The focus of this course is to discuss new advancements in glaucoma diagnostic technology, what’s new in the glaucoma pipeline, and what the future holds. 2 Hours IOB and Legend Drug

What a Pain! An Optometrist’s Guide to Headaches

Many patients come to the eye doctor concerned that headaches are related to their eyes. This course is designed to highlight important diagnostic strategies for optometrists to diagnose and manage patients with headaches to help determine which headaches originate from ocular conditions and which headaches can have ocular manifestations. 1 Hour IOB and Legend Drug

Slaying the Giant! Diagnosis and Management of Giant Cell Arteritis

Giant cell arteritis (GCA) is an immune-mediated vasculitis with serious ophthalmic manifestations, including Arteritic Ischemic Optic Neuropathy (AION), Central Retinal Artery Occlusion (CRAO), and diplopia. It is important for the clinician to understand the signs and symptoms of GCA and how they relate to the eye. 1 Hour IOB and Legend Drug
