This course will describe the new technology of Light Adjustable Lenses for cataract surgery, how they work and adjustment procedures, patient selection and follow-up care including co-management.

Da 411 on DMEK: What Every Optometrist Should Know

Endothelial keratoplasties such as DMEK have quickly become the most popular graft done for Fuchs/dystrophy and secondary corneal edema. Patient selection/referral, review of the surgical procedure and follow-up care including co-management will be discussed.

Optometry's Role in Post-Concussion Management

Patients with persistent post-concussion syndrome can have significant visual impairments. This course will utilize case examples to highlight the various available optometric treatments, and how you as an optometrist can assist the medical team. It will also have a brief discussion on the role of these therapies in cases of Post-COVID as well.

The lecture is a grand-rounds approach to diagnosis and therapeutic management of various anterior segment diseases. The course involves the audience in a series of cases that are both common and rare with special emphasis on therapeutic management. Doctors will learn to treat, manage or timely refer various conditions ranging from blepharitis and skin cancers to corneal infections and inflammatory eye diseases.

The Seven Habits of Highly Successful Anterior Uveitis Management

2 hours IOB and Legend Drug – Treatment/Management Ocular Disease
This lecture allows the participant a full understanding of the etiology, key diagnostic factors and treatment options for iritis management. Seven "rules" of effective iritis management will be discussed to help clinicians effectively treat iritis and avoid potential complications. The presentation will be conducted in a participation-based, grand rounds format to better assist in understanding iritis management. Systemic conditions, new therapeutics and how to most effectively treat anterior uveitis will be emphasized.
