The key to success in the management of dry eye disease begins with the eyelids. Blepharitis is highly prevalent, including demodex blepharitis, which affects over 20 million people in the U.S. MGD is present in over 86% of dry eye disease cases, and Inadequate Lid Seal is the most common cause of non-responsive dry eye. So, understanding the role of the eyelids, managing MGD, blepharitis, and ILS are key to managing ocular surface disease effectively. 1 Hour IOB & Legend Drug

Optometric Surgical Procedures

Over one-third of U.S. states have surgical laws allowing optometry to perform advanced procedures. This course expands on the types of procedures for cornea and external disease and explains, mostly via videos, how to perform these procedures, which patients to select and contraindications, setting expectations, and ensuring proper safety. The procedures range from managing ocular surface to corneal diseases. 2 Hours IOB & Legend Drug

This course introduces the science of Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) to the eye care professional. Emphasis will be placed on published protocols and understanding treatment variables including specific wavelengths utilized.
